EV-CHAIN aims to support the application of "blockchain" technology during the process of charging electric vehicles. With the development of the new EV-CHAIN technological solution, every transaction carried out by the users at electric vehicle charging points, will be practically "processed" automatically and safely allowing for ease of access to all EV charging platforms.
Regardless of who the EV charging provider will be, the EV-CHAIN platform using blockchain technology will be able to break down the cost of charging the vehicle to the individual stakeholders (e.g. electricity provider, network, taxes, provider charger system, etc.) and will transfer the relevant amounts.
The "EV-CHAIN Wallet" mobile application that is being developed is a complete product based on the use of "Blockchain" technology, which brings together owners of charging stations and drivers of electric vehicles, actively enabling electromobility development. Chargers’ owners will be able to set charging costs ('flat-rate', time-based, kWh-based, etc.) and adjust them at any time. EV-CHAIN Wallet will handle billing and invoicing processes in a transparent and simple way.
Users through the Peer-to-Peer application will be able to use for the first time in Greece a network of private charging points as well as public charging stations, unified under one interface that will allow users to find charging stations in their area and charge the electric vehicle smoothly and safely through the properties of the “Blockchain” technology.

HOLISTIC is a member of the consortium which was awarded the EV-CHAIN project, actively participating in the technical and scientific works of this project.
Key contribution is expected by HOLISTIC to the development of the EV-CHAIN architecture and the development of the ML prediction and decision support algorithms to be implemented.
Moreover, HOLISTIC is leading the dissemination, communication and exploitation activities.
