HOLISTIC in PARIS REINFORCE
I2AM PARIS Platform
ARIS REINFORCE Consortium

HOLISTIC is a member of the consortium which was awarded the PARIS REINFORCE project!

The PARIS REINFORCE project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under grant agreement No 820846. It aims to support climate change policymaking with robust scientific processes, in light of the Paris Agreement. A novel, demand-driven, IAM-oriented assessment framework will be developed for effectively supporting the design and assessment of climate policies in the EU as well as in other major emitters and selected less emitting/developed countries, in respect to the Paris Agreement objectives.

HOLISTIC will contribute to the development of an open access and transparent data exchange platform, I2AM PARIS, in order to support the effective implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions, the preparation of future action pledges, the development of 2050 decarbonisation strategies, and the reinforcement of the 2023 Global Stocktake.

HOLISTIC is also responsible for the implementation of the Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation (CDE) strategy while contributing its expertise in creating a distinctive visual identity and website for the project. The development of the website is of paramount importance for the effective promotion of the PARIS REINFORCE concept, results and stakeholders engagement.

The project’s duration is three years and will provide open access to all of its materials, for all users.

Stay tuned for updates on the projects process!

What is the Paris agreement?

It’s a climate change accord agreed by nearly 200 countries in December 2015, which came into force on 4 November 2016. The agreement commits world leaders to keeping global warming below 2 °C, seen as the threshold for safety by scientists, and pursuing a tougher target of 1.5 °C.
