ECO SENSE aims to support municipal enterprises for the effective implementation of the actions to reduce their carbon footprint and get adapted to climate change. Therefore, it focuses on the design of the integrated ECO SENSE platform and label, which include four main software and hardware tools to support decisions on: (a) carbon footprint mitigation actions; and (b) actions for the adaptation to climate change of public sector’s enterprises.
These tools will be developed based on existing tools of participating partners, tailored according to the new needs and appropriate interconnections of the ECO SENSE platform.
Initially, the ECO SENSE Footprint and ECO SENSE Resilience tools are used for calculation and monitoring of the carbon footprint and resilience to climate change respectively. ECO SENSE Forecasting, as a tool for the analysis and forecasting actions to mitigate and get adapted to climate change, supports the implementation monitoring of SECAPs, EEAPs and the overall strategy through an integrated roadmap (ECO SENSE Roadmap). In order to implement the above tools, machine learning methodologies, forecasting models and multi-criteria analysis for decisions making of the evaluation and prioritization of actions will be used.
ECO SENSE platform will be tested in 15 municipal enterprises as pilot case studies to evaluate its operational and practical results in order to reduce their energy consumption and other resources and strengthen their resilience to climate change which will lead to the acquisition of ECO SENSE label.

HOLISTIC is a member of the consortium which was awarded the ECO SENSE project, as well as the Project Scientific Leader.
Key contribution is expected by HOLISTIC to the development of ECO SENSE platform and labeling.
Moreover, HOLISTIC is leading the dissemination, communication and exploitation activities.
