Búzios Scientific Statement: Providing evidence-based insights for COP30

More than 250 leading international scientists convened this week in Armação dos Búzios, RJ, Brazil, in parallel with the COP30 negotiations, at the Integrated Assessment Modelling Consortium’s (IAMC) annual conference to present and debate the latest scientific evidence on what it will take to halt global warming and pursue the goals of the Paris Agreement. The IAMC brings together leading climate researchers from all over the world focussing on mitigation and adaptation solutions. 

The MES-CoBraD project highlighted by HaDEA on World Brain Day 2025

For over three years, experts from medicine, engineering, computer science, social science, and law have collaborated, comprising the MES-CoBraD project consortium, to develop a platform designed to advance the treatment and diagnosis of complex brain disorders.

By securely integrating real-world data with artificial intelligence and precision-focused expert systems, the aim of the MES-CoBraD project was to improve the quality of life for patients, caregivers, and society as a whole.

Brain disorders include disabilities that stem from brain dysfunction, including neurological (Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, epilepsy and seizures, etc.), sleep disorders, and mental health disorders (depression, anxiety, etc.). Brain disorders interfere with activities of daily living and worsen quality of life, and are often associated with social stigma.
