The rising decentralization of the energy system is unveiling an enormous opportunity for energy stakeholders to leverage on big data & AI technologies to improve decision making. There are however some barriers hampering the exploitation of this potential, such as the lack of standardized big data architectures for smart grids and regulatory frameworks not enabling data sharing.

In that respect BD4NRG (Big Data for Next Generation Energy) will:

ECO SENSE

ECO SENSE aims to support municipal enterprises for the effective implementation of the actions to reduce their carbon footprint and get adapted to climate change. Therefore, it focuses on the design of the integrated ECO SENSE platform and label, which include four main software and hardware tools to support decisions on: (a) carbon footprint mitigation actions; and (b) actions for the adaptation to climate change of public sector’s enterprises.

MATRYCS is a project entitled "Modular Big Data Applications for Holistic Energy Services in Buildings" and its duration is 36 months with a start date of October 1, 2020. It is a project which has received funding
from the European Union's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under grant agreement No 101000158.

Holistic is providing Big Data Analytics, Semantics and AI services in a wide range of domains including maritime, public safety, health, insurance and automotive industry.

Holistic is maintaining the BigDataOcean platform (https://www.bigdataocean.eu/) , the largest  maritime big data infrastructure that enables collaborative, data-driven intelligence. BigDataOcean allows analytics based on diverse data resources, coming from public and private providers.
